Savannah River National Laboratory is seeking a Senior Radiological Characterization Engineer to join their team, evaluating regulatory changes and providing recommendations to management. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Nuclear Engineering and significant experience performing radioactive waste calculations and waste management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Nuclear Engineering
- Significant experience performing radioactive waste calculations and waste management/engineering
- Strong background in waste management/engineering
- Analytical thought and ability to identify innovative solutions
- Leadership skills and ability to communicate difficult concepts
- Experience with radioactive waste characterization and calculations
- Ability to serve as Waste Cognizant Technical Function for projects
- Experience with waste management engineering activities and ensuring compliance with regulations
