Senior Radiological Engineer

We are seeking a Senior In Vivo Radiological Engineer to oversee the day-to-day operation of the whole-body counting, lung counting, and wound counting capabilities at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. The ideal candidate will have a BS degree in a related field and 8+ years of experience in health physics, nondestructive assay, or operational radiation protection.

Requirements

• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the whole-body counting, lung counting, and wound counting capabilities
• Review and approve in vivo measurement results, calculations, logs, and QC data
• Ensure that equipment maintenance and calibrations are kept up to date
• Maintain DOELAP accreditation for the in vivo counting laboratory
• Ensure that in vivo laboratory personnel are trained and qualified to perform their assigned duties
