The School Programs Youth Leader is responsible for the supervision, development, and implementation of academic, enrichment, and social-emotional well-being for groups of 10-20 youth participating in the after-school program. The Youth Leader will also assist students in improving academic skills and reaching performance goals in core academic subjects.
Requirements
- Must be one-year removed from high school graduation and three years removed from graduation/matriculation from SUHSD school you are applying to.
- Must meet and provide documentation of the minimum qualifications for Classroom Assistant if candidate does not have 48 college credits.
- AA or BA is highly desirable, passing score on district’s Instructional Assistant Test acceptable.
- Minimum of one year working with youth and/or children is highly desirable.
- Must be highly dependable.
- Must have a warm and friendly personality and the sensitivity to meet the needs of a diverse population.
- Must have the ability to lead sports, games and curriculum activities, and monitor behavior.
- Ability to provide leadership and stability to the program.
