Industrial Mechanical Maintenance Apprentice

Schaeffler is seeking Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (IMM) Apprentices to join its Connecticut Registered Apprenticeship Program. The role combines paid on-the-job learning with related technical instruction to develop skills in advanced industrial maintenance within a highly regulated aerospace environment.

Requirements

• Perform maintenance tasks under the direction of a qualified mentor
• Conduct routine, corrective, and preventative maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, equipment irregularities, and breakdowns
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
• Communicate equipment issues clearly and accurately
• Assist with welding and fabrication tasks as required
• Identify defective components and perform repairs or replacements
• Complete scheduled preventative maintenance activities in accordance with established procedures
