Job Description
The Peer / Youth Advisor will provide support and share experiences in the foster care system in a safe and non-judgmental space. They will share knowledge of healthy coping skills, symptom management techniques, and independent living. The advisor will also participate in meetings, provide peer support, and assist in crisis prevention and intervention.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Youth Advocacy training
- Experience as a consumer of residential or other mental health services
- Acceptable clearance checks for State Central Register, and fingerprinting
- Compliance with health regulations for physical/mantoux testing
