Senior Manager/Director, Operational and Data Risk Management

Join Scotiabank's Global Banking and Markets team as a Senior Manager/Director of Operational and Data Risk Management. Lead the development and implementation of the U.S. operational and data risk management framework. Challenging the effectiveness of first-line operated controls and monitoring methods, identifying control deficiencies, and developing corrective action plans. Required experience: 15 years in a financial institution, 10 years in Operational Risk Management, Compliance, Risk Management, or Audit experience. Strong understanding of the U.S. financial services regulatory landscape, statutory and tax reporting, and cross-functional understanding of Global Banking and Markets.

• Working knowledge of statutory and tax reporting
• Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent
• A minimum of 15 years of experience working at a financial institution
• At least 10 years’ experience in Operational Risk Management, or related Compliance, Risk Management or Audit experience
