As an Engineer, Front Structure, you will lead the sheet metal design and release of front structure stampings and assemblies for new products, ensuring innovative and optimized solutions for Scout trucks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in the design of BIW structures, including all three phases of product development (design, test and launch)
- Skilled in utilizing CATIA for designing and developing detailed parts
- Strong technical skills and expertise in sheet metal design, coupled with a 1st principles approach to problem solving
- Familiarity with computer-aided engineering (CAE) or direct experience in this field
- Ability to build strong working relationships with people across all organizational levels
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and suppliers
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., MATLAB, Minitab, Excel)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
