Scout Motors is seeking a Sr. Ext. Lighting Engineer to develop Scout Exterior Lighting Standards, lead product development teams, and collaborate with suppliers to bring unique Scout accessories to market. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in lighting areas and relevant automotive assignments, with a strong technical background in lighting components and systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a relevant field
- Min 8 years experience required in position okay for lighting areas and relevant automotive assignments
- Skilled in utilizing CATIA for designing and developing detailed parts
- Strong technical skills and expertise in lighting components and systems, coupled with a 1st principles approach to problem solving
- High level of oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organization and prioritization skills
- Familiarity with computer-aided engineering (CAE) or direct experience in this field
- An ability to build strong working relationships with people across all organizational levels/functional teams
- Strong sense of teamwork, able to act as mentor to less experienced engineers
- Experience working on Electric Vehicle programs desirable
