Job Description
We are seeking a Container & Chassis Mechanic II to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on containers used for national and international shipping distribution. The position requires two years of industry-related experience repairing and restructuring intermodal equipment, including containers.
Requirements
- Two (2) years of industry-related experience repairing and restructuring intermodal equipment, including containers.
- Advanced Stick and MIG welding experience.
- Knowledge of proper container repair standards and procedures.
- Ability to read, write, and speak basic English.
- Ability to accurately process alpha/numeric information.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision and strong initiative.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees.
- Ability to think logically, follow procedures, instructions and make sound decisions.
- Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card within 30 days of employment.
