The Line Cook is expected to prepare food, help kitchen workers in the preparation of food items and set up stations for menus as instructed by the Sous Chef or Executive Chef and comply with safety, hygiene, and quality standards for food service.
Requirements
- Prefer 3-5-year prior experience in food preparation in a full service restaurant and/or in an institutional setting.
- Must have the ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos.
- Must have a valid Food Handlers Card; administered on site.
- Must have a valid ServSafe Certification within 90 days of hire.
- Knowledge of service standards and systems.
- Must be able to follow directions.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to perform duties in a team environment.
- Must demonstrate effective customer service skills.
- Must be professional in attitude, demeanor and dress.
- Good organizational skills and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
