Mechanical Engineering Manager

Second Order Effects is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager to develop and mature the mechanical engineering team and discipline. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of mechanical engineering experience and 5+ years of leadership experience. The role involves owning technical decisions, leading the team, providing technical guidance, and establishing standards and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years in a mechanical engineering and hardware development role for aerospace, industrial automation, and/or robotics
• 5+ years of progressively impactful mechanical engineering leadership roles
• Proficiency in executing engineering projects involving end-to-end mechanical and electrical system design
