Mechanic

Select's Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing mechanical problems, repairing and rebuilding equipment on or off-site, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

• Maintains diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventative maintenance requirements
• Identifies and maintains an inventory of high-use, common maintenance items
• Functions 'on-call' in order to respond to emergency callouts
• Controls costs of in-house and outsourced maintenance or repairs through use of warranty and vendor evaluation
• Maintains transportation fleet in a manner that ensures the safety and protection of employees, clients and general public including the environment
