We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Warehouse Team Leader on the PM shift to support the day-to-day running of the warehouse operation in a fast-paced distribution environment. Key responsibilities include day-to-day management of staff and relevant departments, workload planning, and maintaining health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Day to day management of all staff and relevant departments within the warehouse.
- Plan workloads and deliver individual assignments to team members.
- Distribute labour against workload on a daily basis
- Ensure correct work procedures are followed and standards are maintained.
- Ensure Health and Safety procedures are observed at all times, to maintain a safe and legal working environment.
- Assist in the recruitment process for hires within the warehouse function
- All aspects of people management, absent management, disciplinaries, return to work etc as well as goal setting, coaching, training and performance management
- Warehouse Management experience and qualifications would be beneficial
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
- Leadership experience and ability to manage staff.
- Understanding of basic Health and Safety processes.
- The ability to be accurate and methodical and have good organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to plan and prioritise workload
- A current and valid FLT licence would be beneficial
