Semafor is a global news platform that requires a Director, Sales & Strategic Partnerships to identify, develop, and manage key partnerships with advertisers. The role involves business development expertise, strategic vision, and relationship management skills to drive the success of our partnerships strategy.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, or related fields within media, digital publishing, or advertising.
- Proven track record of securing and managing high-impact strategic partnerships in media or digital publishing.
- Strong understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, as well as live event partnerships.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage market research and competitive intelligence to drive decision-making.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Proficiency in CRM and sales management tools (e.g., Salesforce, Boostr).
- Knowledge of the Washington, DC Public Affairs ecosystem
- Strategic partnership development and execution in journalism, media, and/or digital publishing sectors.
