Exhibit Technician, casual

The Heinz History Center is seeking Exhibit Technicians to assist with the development, production, installation, maintenance, and de-installation of exhibits. The successful candidate will work on exhibit fabrication, including painting, construction, and installation of objects and graphics. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in exhibit or theater production or construction is a plus. The role is physically demanding and requires a strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in exhibit or theater production or construction (plus)
• Proficiency in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools
• Ability to read technical documents, drawings, and blueprints
• Understanding of advanced construction and structure
• Strong understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
• Ability to work independently and as a team player
• Self-motivation
• Ability to follow precise instructions
