Job Description
SEPTA is seeking a Plumber-First Class (1101) to assemble, install, repair, inspect, and test plumbing systems. Responsibilities include installing and repairing pipes, fittings, and related equipment, as well as inspecting and testing systems for fire safety and related infrastructure. This role is within the Maintenance/Bridges & Buildings division of SEPTA and will be part of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority.
Requirements
- Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
- Must be experienced in the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing and related parts and accessories.
- Must be able to create shop drawings, layout work, compile material lists, and complete work reports.
- Must satisfactorily complete qualifications tests.
- Must have a valid Philadelphia journeyman's card.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must obtain a CDL permit within 60 days of transfer.
- Ability to work in a truck-mounted bucket (30 ft extension capacity)
- Ability to climb an extension ladder (20 ft max extension)
