The Senior Accountant will ensure the integrity of the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers, provide accurate financial reporting, support month-end and year-end close processes, and assist with audits. This role involves collaborating with the Accounting Manager to develop, maintain, and enhance documentation, workflows, and process narratives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Minimum three years of senior accountant level work experience with general ledger accounting, period closing, estimates and reserves calculation, account reconciliation, analysis, inventory analysis, and/or financial reporting
- Diversified and industry experience in retail, manufacturing and automotive and/or work experience with a big-4 national CPA firm preferred
- CPA preferred
- Technical accounting knowledge (GAAP)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Oracle Financial Cloud and dealer management systems knowledge
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical thinker with ability to structure and process qualitative or quantitative data and draw insightful conclusions from it
- Ability to independently and resourcefully seek out ways to find resolution to problems by performing the necessary research to understand the root cause(s) and evaluate various ways that it can be resolved
