The Operations Manager – Water Transfer oversees water transfer projects, short and long term, to achieve incident-free, profitable operations that benefit the organization and customers.
Requirements
- Lead, motivate and support within time-sensitive, demanding environments
- Ensure that operational activities remain on time and within budget
- Drive productivity, efficiency and quality standards
- Solve technical problems in the field to eliminate or reduce down time
- Train subordinate team members
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Manage subcontractors in the field
- Develop strategies for improved efficiency and increased profit
- Forecast activity levels and resources required to meet customer, team member and organizational need
- Build-out a structured, trained, and effective team
- Review of all documents submitted in KPA and Samsara daily
- Assist with recruitment, interviewing and onboarding processes
- Ensure compliance with EHS and DOT policy, procedure, and regulations
- Collaborate with internal departments (fleet, business development, automation, EHS)
- Resolve team member and customer matters
- Care and upkeep of rented, leased and company owned assets
- Effectively manage overtime, non-billable and inefficient labor hours
- Effectively manage rental equipment, per SOP – Cost vs. Billed
- Collaborate with account team to ensure customers are billed timely and accurately
- Review and approval of daily hours worked
- Communicate needs to Area Manager (crew trucks, trailers, transfer assets, employees, p-v-f, etc.)
- Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
- Valid driver's license and meets requirements to be insurable in company vehicle
- Willing to travel
- Proven experience supervising or managing a crew / multiple crews
- Provide multiple references from previous or current supervisors / managers
- Multiple years of water transfer supervisory or management experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
