Job Description
The GSC R&D Colorants group is seeking a Senior Chemist to lead projects and/or project teams as a member of the Global Colorant R&D Industrial product development team at South Holland. The position is accountable for contributing to and/or leading the development and reformulation of colorant dispersion and/or paint products.
Requirements
- Appropriate selection of raw materials, dispersion making and testing, data analysis and application of dispersion/paint formulation knowledge
- Paint and/or colorant dispersion product development and commercialization
- Accurate documentation and presentation of lab results and technical information
- Communication with manager, marketing, manufacturing, vendors and various support groups to ensure the successful commercialization of products
- Establishment of timelines and resources needed with minimal changes and input from managers
- Demonstration of knowledge of various technologies
- Influence on supervisor to support an idea/plan and consideration of the potential impact of the business
