R&D- Staff Chemist

Seeking a highly motivated individual to lead and support the development and commercialization of products and technologies related to sealants and water-proofing. This role is accountable for leading the formulation of new coatings technologies and development of new test methods through physical, technical, and other measurement techniques.

Requirements

• Identification/assessment of coatings / sealants / waterproofing technologies, paint making and testing, data analysis and application of paint/sealant formulation/knowledge to meet performance requirements for new architectural product lines.
• Significant interaction with Marketing, Engineering, PT and other various support groups and vendors to ensure successful and timely product development.
• Strong written documentation and verbal presentation of information and the ability to adapt to various audiences.
• Demonstrate independent data driven decision making based on data and technical expertise.
• Mentor/coach/train others, especially in the areas of sealants and water-proofing.
