Job Description
Shive-Hattery, a leading architecture and engineering consulting firm, is seeking a Structural Engineer with 5-10 years of experience to join their West Des Moines, IA office. The role involves leading structural design projects for industrial, commercial, and education clients, coordinating with teams, and mentoring junior engineers. The firm emphasizes a collaborative culture and a focus on building strong relationships with clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program
- 5 to 10 years of experience in the design and leadership of structural engineering projects
- Professional Engineer licensure in Iowa or immediate licensure ability
- Proficiency with Autodesk Revit and Microsoft Office
- Experience using concrete, steel, and masonry
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Ability to drive, climb ladders, and work elevated
