Job Description
Join Shorr Packaging as a Distribution Center Manager and take on a working DC management position that requires 70% of time on the floor. Responsibilities include training and developing hourly employees, maintaining safety and regulatory requirements, and overseeing all warehouse operations.
Requirements
- Train, develop and lead hourly employees to ensure an efficient and cost-effective operation
- Maintain strong adherence to all safety and regulatory requirements. Provide a safe, organized and clean facility
- Facilitate cross-training of all warehouse personnel
- Focus on continuous improvement and make recommendations to improve operations
- Manage inventory control activities
- Responsible for the value-added services that may include kitting, assembly, band saw slitting, and carton printing
- Acting warehouse coordinator and responsible for oversight of scheduling inbound & outbound shipments
- Deal effectively across all levels of the organization; solve problems between warehouse and other departments
