The Subcontracts Lead is responsible for leading the development, negotiation, and administration of complex subcontracts for specialized materials, equipment, and services. This role involves managing the full lifecycle of subcontracts, from preparing bid packages and evaluating proposals to overseeing subcontractor performance and ensuring compliance.
Requirements
- Lead the development and management of subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions.
- Prepare detailed bid packages and establish robust evaluation criteria for subcontract proposals.
- Analyze and evaluate complex subcontractor proposals for compliance with technical and financial requirements.
- Lead negotiations of subcontract provisions, including terms, price, and schedule, to secure favorable agreements.
- Administer a variety of subcontract types, such as Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and Time and Material (T&M).
- Monitor and evaluate subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with contract terms and deliverables.
- Maintain comprehensive records of subcontract agreements, amendments, and performance data.
- Select and recommend new subcontractors based on thorough evaluation and analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align subcontract management with project and program goals.
- Ensure strict compliance with company policies, industry standards, and federal regulations throughout the subcontract lifecycle.
