Signicast is seeking a Production Control Scheduler to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, good computer skills, and 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. As a key member of the team, the successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring materials inventories, tracking production progress, and reviewing factors that affect production schedules.
Requirements
- Comply with all safety and health guidelines, quality standard practices/procedures, and housekeeping standards.
- Accurately input spot and EDI orders into Access.
- Monitor production process and implement process improvement.
- Launch production and sample orders per process schedule in order to meet customer demand.
- Communicates with customers regarding purchase order dates and quantities.
- Communicates with production and engineering to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Acknowledges purchase orders.
- Maintains customer database.
- Works with manufacturing as well as subcontract suppliers to expedite parts to ensure on time delivery to customers.
- Schedules customer shipments, via carrier or web as required.
- Cross-trains for coverage
- Review and update forecast, production schedules and material requirements.
- Support new product development through cooperative scheduling of model introductions, end of life and prototype processing with the potential suppliers
