Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH) is a national engineering firm seeking a Senior Project Manager – Geotechnical Engineering. The ideal candidate will support the development of geotechnical and geostructural engineering services, manage and direct projects, and supervise teams of engineers.
Requirements
- 12+ years of relevant experience and expertise in geotechnical or geostructural engineering
- Professional Licensure required
- MS or PhD with a concentration in Geotechnical or GeoStructural Engineering
- Affiliation with industry organizations such as the American Society of Civil Engineers' GeoInstitute, Deep Foundations Institute, or other active geotechnical organization
- Excellent written, oral and verbal communication skills
- Ability to solve minor or complex problems using data, logic, and judgement
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills
- Team-oriented ability to work successfully with others toward a shared goal
- Accountability and responsibility, willingness to take initiative to ensure tasks are completed
- Enthusiasm, passion, and desire for continued learning of new ideas and concepts
- Expertise in geotechnical computer analysis software (e.g., GEOSLOPE Suite, Slide, Plaxis, LPILEplus, CIVILTech Shoring, DeepEX, Settle3D, etc.)
- Willingness to travel to out-of-state project sites on occasion and ability to travel to remote job sites not accessible by public transportation
- Strong interpersonal skills

- Valid driver’s license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report
