Sims Limited is seeking a Transport Manager to lead their Queensland Transport Operation. The role combines strategic thinking with practical involvement to improve transport outcomes. The ideal candidate has solid experience in transport or logistics and is ready to step up and make the role their own.
Requirements
- Experience in transport, logistics, or fleet operations
- Understanding of Chain of Responsibility and heavy vehicle compliance
- Exposure to transport KPIs, fleet performance, or operational reporting
- Commercial awareness and the ability to manage costs effectively
- Comfortable using IVMS/GPS systems and transport data
- Strong communication skills and the ability to bring people together
- A proactive mindset with the confidence to challenge the status quo and drive improvement
