Job Description
Optus is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design and ensure the performance of its transport network, configuring and deploying IP/MPLS services across multi-vendor platforms, and leveraging automation tools to streamline provisioning tasks. The role requires strong expertise in network design, troubleshooting, and automation, as well as collaboration with vendors and internal teams.
Requirements
- Relevant professional qualification in Telecommunications, Engineering, or related field
- Solid understanding of IP networking, routing/switching, MPLS, SRv6, ISIS, traffic engineering, and multi-vendor platforms
- Hands-on experience with SDN frameworks and automation tools such as Cisco NSO and Red Hat Ansible for provisioning and configuration
- Logical thinker with advanced troubleshooting skills
- Clear communicator, customer-focused, self-motivated, and team-oriented
