The Sr. Staff Accountant performs daily functions in all areas relating to accounting and financial reporting required to support operations of the Company and its subsidiaries.
Requirements
- Provides professional level financial, accounting and reporting duties for moderate to complex functional areas.
- Performs month-end, quarterly, and annual closing activities and financial reporting duties, including accruals, adjustments, reconciliations, and documentation for the parent company and subsidiaries.
- Monitors accuracy and timeliness of accounting processes for assigned areas.
- Prepares timely and accurate monthly financial statements for assigned subsidiaries.
- Perform financial analysis and prepare financial reports.
- Assists with fixed assets and depreciation reporting.
- Reconciles corporate bank accounts.
- Reconciles various GL accounts.
- Prepares and posts monthly journal entries.
- Prepares and posts monthly revenue entries by project using cost to complete and percentage of completion.
- Assists with annual audit preparation and year-end closing of books.
- Works with various business managers to record monthly activity to the general ledger.
- Assists with the preparation and completion of various requests from US Census, State of Alaska, and City and Municipalities.
- Prepare, perform, and maintain all finance records for projects including Government contracts.
- Ability to establish, prepare and maintain written process workflows for Project Accounting tasks.
- Assists with monitoring WF Pcard / WEX card and any other corporate card programs.
