Job Description
Skidmore College is seeking a Visiting Assistant Professor in Philosophy for the 2026-2027 academic year. The position is a one-year sabbatical replacement appointment, and the successful candidate will teach 18 credit hours per year, divided among five courses.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Philosophy by August 2026 (strongly preferred) or strong ABD applicants
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level
- Ability to teach Introduction to Philosophy and courses in the VAP's areas of expertise
