Skyryse is seeking a Senior Stress Analyst to support the design, development, and certification of its fly-by-wire, safety-critical aircraft systems. The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically rigorous, and comfortable working in a fast-paced aerospace startup environment where analysis directly informs design decisions.
Requirements
- Perform static, fatigue, and damage tolerance analysis of aircraft structures
- Conduct classical hand calculations to assess stress, strain, margins of safety, and structural integrity
- Generate structural substantiation to support FAA certification activities
- Collaborate closely with design engineering, manufacturing, and flight test teams
- Support trade studies to optimize weight, strength, and manufacturability
- Evaluate test results and correlate analytical predictions with ground and flight test data
- Author and review stress reports, certification documents, and compliance findings
- Create tools and methods to efficiently conduct stress analysis
- Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions for structural issues identified during testing or operations
- Ensure analyses comply with Skyryse safety standards and aerospace best practices
