Flight Test Engineer

Skyways is building a new form of air transportation - a flying car - backed by seed funding and a contract from the U.S. Air Force. They are seeking a Flight Test Engineer to lead the planning, execution, and analysis of flight tests to validate their autonomous unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The role involves working closely with Systems, Software, GNC, and Flight Operations teams to ensure vehicle readiness and success.

Requirements

• Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of flight test campaigns.
• Define test objectives, instrumentation requirements, and success criteria.
• Develop detailed test plans, procedures, and flight readiness documentation.
• Oversee telemetry setup, data logging, and analysis workflows.
• Identify anomalies, conduct root-cause analyses, and drive corrective actions.
• Propose and implement improvements to test methodology, data tools, and safety processes.
