The Senior Staff Accountant provides support and works closely with the Executive Director of Business Accounting and Accounts Payable Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the Business Accounting Office and is responsible for the oversight of accounting processes, records, and reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- CPA or Master's degree is a plus
- Three to six years of bank reconciliation experience
- Minimum of five years of experience in financial accounting at a complex and diverse organization required
- Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication, problem-solving, organization, and presentation skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving dynamic environment which demands strong attention to detail
- Demonstrates well-developed accounting skills and knowledge of GAAP and FASB pronouncements
- Familiarity with financial and procurement systems; QuickBooks and Procurify is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- The ability to execute Excel functions like index, vlookup, sumif/sumifs, pivot tables
