Job Description
The Minerals and Metals (M&M) Division team at AtkinsRĂ©alis provides tailored engineering solutions to the mining industry, integrating environmental considerations at every stage of a mining project. The Sustainable Mining Development team includes more than 100 employees working on projects in geotechnics, water management, mine restoration, and environmental services for major mining companies.
Requirements
- University degree in Civil or Geological Engineering and a graduate degree (Master’s and/or Ph.D.) in Geotechnics, or equivalent experience
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or eligible for membership
- Mining experience: 5 to 8 years in designing tailings containment structures
- ASP Construction safety card
- Strong knowledge of French and English*
- Familiarity with slope stability, seepage, and stress-deformation analysis software
- Experience in dynamic analysis and seismicity
- Excellent teamwork skills within multidisciplinary engineering teams composed mainly of geotechnical engineers, hydrologists, hydrogeologists, and environmental specialists
