Job Description
AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Principal Urban Designer to contribute to the design and delivery of projects, take ownership of medium to large scale design and production packages, and work within a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have a postgraduate qualification in urban design, urban planning, or landscape architecture, and at least 15 years of experience in urban design and planning.
Requirements
- Degree of post graduate qualification in urban design, urban planning, landscape architecture, or related field
- Minimum 15 years relevant working experience in urban design, urban planning and master planning
- Strong design and graphics capabilities
- Competent in Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint, MS Word, Excel, and AutoCAD
- Experience in working with a multidisciplinary team
- Strong design management, report production, and coordination skills
- An understanding of sustainability issues within the public realm
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
