Requirements
- Support design teams working on various project types such as commercial, rail, transit, aviation etc. through all stages of design.
- Develop designs and sketches into Revit-based construction documents.
- Develop the ability to produce a complete set of construction documents in BIM.
- Ability to welcome mentorship and to take a proactive approach to design and technical professional development.
- Ability to follow redlined documents for production in Revit and to develop the same redlined skill to be able to hand-off to junior staff.
- Ability to enhance current abilities and further develop coordination skills with sub-consultants and other disciplines and mentor junior staff to do the same.
- Ability to develop contributory skills of providing technical information to a specification writer.
- Ability to create and/or develop organized Exhibits in BlueBeam and PowerPoint for client and team review.
- Ability to perform site and field work including site investigations, existing facility inventory and field measured documentation.
- Provide Project Architects/Project Managers with status reports of progress on architectural documents.
- Ability to complete assignments efficiently, accurately and in a timely manner and self-perform quality control on work prior to publication or review by senior staff.
- Communicate regularly with the team and stay within the hours budgeted for tasks assigned.
- Ability to maintain and coordinate project BIM model and develop a strong knowledge in construction document standards and conventions.
- Develop a strong knowledge of building codes and experience with code review processes.
- Ability to consults product manufacturers, to evaluate, and obtain accurate cost information, select materials, and inspect architectural features in the field.
- Ability to develop a deeper understanding of building materials and construction methods.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work on several projects or issues simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment as needed.
- Desire to develop the skills required to analyze information and propose effective solutions on own initiative.
- Ability to create basic and informative 3D models in BIM or another digital format.
- Possess an Entrepreneurial spirit and a desire for career advancement.
- Performs such other duties as the Supervisor determine necessary to support the Architecture Practice.
