We are seeking a Senior Architect to join our team in Denver. The ideal candidate will apply technical proficiency to solutions for architectural problems and coordinate related project activities.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of building codes and experience with code review processes.
- Strong understanding of building materials and construction methods.
- Ability to provide team leadership, interact with senior management and play a decisive role in project pursuits.
- Ability to make timely design and technical decisions in a collaborative manner while seeking advice of peers and supervisors.
- Ability to present oneself professionally to clients as well as maintain a ‘seller-doer’ approach.
- Ability to routinely interface with clients and keep client properly informed.
- Ability to perform programming, planning and other conceptual design activities.
- Ability to develop designs and sketches to be input into Revit-based construction documents as well as direct a project team to do the same.
- Ability to mentor junior staff and lead a project team to produce a complete set of construction documents.
- Ability to redline documents for production in BlueBeam or another digital format.
- Ability to coordinate with sub-consultants and other disciplines and mentor junior staff to do the same.
- Ability to review and contribute needed information to a specification writer.
- Ability to create organized Exhibits in BlueBeam and PowerPoint for client and team review.
- Ability to direct & perform site and field work including construction observation & investigation, existing facility inventory & evaluation and generate field measured documentation.
- Ability to complete assignments efficiently, accurately and in a timely manner and self-perform quality control on work prior to publication.
- Ability to maintain and coordinate project BIM model and strong knowledge in construction document standards and conventions.
- Ability to interact with regulatory agencies and achieve a consensus.
- Ability to consult with product manufacturers to evaluate and obtain accurate cost information, select materials, and refine construction detailing, etc.
- Ability to work on several projects or issues simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment as needed.
- Ability to analyze information and propose effective solutions on own initiative.
- Ability to create basic and informative 3D models in BIM or another digital format.
- Ability to communicate regularly with the team and stay within the hours budgeted for tasks assigned.
- Ability to provide Project Managers with regular status reports and progress of construction documentation.
