Job Description
Perform engineering design and reviews, prepare engineering design calculations, and provide technical guidance to resolve structural issues. Requires a Civil Engineering degree, minimum 8 years of experience, and thorough knowledge of Canadian and International Codes and standards used in Civil/Structural engineering.
Requirements
- Civil Engineering degree from an accredited University
- Master's degree and above is an asset
- Licensed in a professional engineering organization recognized in Canada
- Registered as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario (preferably)
- Minimum 8 years of structural analysis and design experience in steel and concrete structures
- Deep and thorough understanding of structural engineering gained through a combination of design-office and site experience
- Thorough knowledge of Canadian and International Codes and standards used in Civil/Structural engineering
- Thorough knowledge of use of Analysis software commonly used in Civil/Structural engineering such as StaadPro, SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, etc.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
