Job Description
The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the accounting department with day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2+ years on an Accounting team in a corporate environment with multiple subsidiaries
- Ability to use enterprise-level financial record-keeping software systems (Great Plains & NetSuite)
- Month End Close experience
- Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office programs with high degree of proficiency in Excel
- Internal customer service minded attitude
- Ability to communicate effectively across multiple mediums
