Job Description
SoftNice is seeking a skilled AWS-Devops professional to enforce, maintain, and improve Systems Engineering and DevOps best practices, particularly with regard to AWS. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS, Unix/Linux administration, and experience with automation and configuration management tools.
Requirements
- Ability to enforce, maintain, and improve Systems Engineering and DevOps best practices, particularly with regard to AWS.
- Ability to create and maintain scripts which automate cloud operations and service end users.
- At least one year of hands-on AWS experience
- Background in Unix/Linux administration on highly available distributed systems
- Experience with Spark and Hive configuration optimization
- Experience with continuous deployment / continuous delivery using tools such as Jenkins or Bamboo
- Experience with automation and configuration management (Terraform, Puppet, Chef, etc)
- Familiarity with logging/monitoring using tools such as CloudWatch, DataDog, LogStash, Kibana
- A successful previous migration to AWS
