Requirements
- Review patient medical information and reconcile with physician orders
- Prepare, administer, and monitor isotopes following department protocols
- Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine studies (cardiac, orthopedic, abdominal, lung, etc.)
- Monitor and maintain âHot Labâ per state guidelines for safe handling, receiving, and disposal of radioactive materials
- Assist radiologists with invasive procedures when needed
- Operate RIS, PACS, and scheduling systems with proficiency
- Complete quality control procedures and ensure high-quality imaging for interpretation
- Provide compassionate, respectful care while protecting patient confidentiality
- Adhere to ALARA principles and use radiation safety equipment effectively
