Staff Data Scientist – Experimentation: Innovation & Research

PlayStation is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to lead innovation in experimentation and causal inference, focusing on shaping future decision-making and product innovation. This role involves driving research, mentoring team members, and advocating for a data-driven culture. The Scientist will contribute to experimentation infrastructure, strategy, and ethical practices.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree or equivalent experience in Applied Math, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in data science, including extensive hands-on work in experimentation.
• Proven track record of leading experimentation innovation and scaling frameworks.
• Proficiency in SQL and statistical programming languages (e.g., R or Python).
• Expertise in causal inference and designing randomized and quasi-experiments.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
