HK Application Support Engineer

Sopra Steria is seeking an Application Support Engineer to assist a leading investment bank with trading applications on various APAC markets in Windows/Linux platform. The role requires troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving functional and technical issues in the production environment.

Requirements

• Good technical/scripting knowledge on Linux/Unix environment
• Proficiency with Python/shell
• Proficiency with network protocols like TCP, UDP, FIX
• Proficiency in Excel/VBA (huge plus)
• Good business knowledge on cash and derivatives products and market rules
• Experience with system monitoring
• Takes initiative and is results driven
• Strong decision making and analytical skills
• Ability to innovate
• Strong team player
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Fluent in English
