Material Handler

Role Overview

This position plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of our plastic bag manufacturing plant. The Material Handler will ensure that materials are available for production, assist in inventory management, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

What You Will Do

Safely load, unload, and transport raw materials and finished products using forklifts and pallet jacks. Monitor inventory levels and perform regular cycle counts to ensure accuracy.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic understanding of material handling processes and equipment
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of inventory management principles and practices
• Proficient in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification preferred)
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Attention to detail to ensure quality and accuracy in material handling and inventory management
• Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks for extended periods
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and supervisors
