Job Description
The Per-Diem EMT position is a full-time, on-call, hourly position focused on providing emergency medical care in the ambulance. This role requires coordination with the station, patient care responsibilities, and operating SBES vehicles safely. The position is 36 hours per month and will require a commitment to work 12 hour shifts, including days and evenings.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED
- Minimum of two years experience as a certified EMT
- Previous experience with electronic patient care reporting systems, EMS Charts
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to multitask
- General knowledge of EMS vehicles
- Licensed/Certified by NJ State EMS (or NJ Office of EMS)
- Valid motor vehicle operator’s license
- Current NIMS/ICS 100/200
- Current NIMS IS-700 and I-800
- Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) certification
- Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP) or equivalent
- HAZ-MAT Awareness and Operations
