Nurse Practitioner (Relief)

SEOCHC is seeking several Nurse Practitioners to join their team to provide primary care services to clients in a community setting. The NP will work as a member of the interprofessional primary care team and will provide coverage for clients of other providers when on leave.

Requirements

• Baccalaureate in Nursing and Diploma/Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner)
• Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario – Extended class
• Minimum two years’ experience as a nurse practitioner in a community or primary care setting
• Strong clinical skills and diagnostic abilities
• Previous experience working with culturally diverse and marginalized populations
• Knowledge and training in trauma-informed care, psychotherapy modalities are an asset
• Knowledge and understanding of the Community Health Centre model of health and well-being
• Ability to work independently and be self-directed
• Effective organizational, critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt communication styles to meet the needs of clients, health team members and community partners
• Fluency in English is required. French and other languages is an asset
• Proficiency in the use of computers and various software applications
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends
