Job Description
Southern Medical Recruiters is seeking a Medical Records, Health Information Management Director with strong hospital experience and HIM expertise. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and a certification such as RHIA, RHIT, or CCS, with a minimum of 2 years of ICD-9 and CPT-4 coding experience. The Director will supervise off-site coders, maintain coding standards, and educate staff and physicians on coding issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from Four year College or University
- Minimum of 2 years of ICD-9 and CPT-4 coding experience
- Certification such as RHIA, RHIT, or CCS
- Strong general acute care experience in HIM as Director and leader
