IT Server Engineer

The IT Server Engineer is responsible for designing, deploying, maintaining, and optimizing the organization’s server infrastructure—both on-premises and in the cloud. This role ensures system availability, performance, and security for mission-critical applications, patient management systems, and business operations across multiple dental practices.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• 8+ years of IT experience
• 3-5+ years of experience with Data Center infrastructure and virtualization technologies
• Expert working knowledge of virtualization technologies
• Administration experience with Microsoft OS, Citrix, VMWare, Unix, and Linux technologies
• Administration experience with Microsoft technologies such as Sharepoint, Active Directory, and Exchange
• Good documentation skills in a large scale environment
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam, Datto, Acronis)
• Knowledge of IT security best practices and regulatory requirements (HIPAA a plus)
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and documentation skills
• Certifications preferred: MCSA, MCSE, VMware VCP, or related
• Proven customer relationship skills
