Exercise Physiologist

Provides all aspects of phases I – III cardiac rehabilitation, develops and implements exercise prescriptions, and provides education to patients. Supervises cardiovascular stress tests and provides other services such as Enhanced External Counterpulsation. Responsible for creating educational materials, planning special patient events, and participating in departmental improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field
• Master’s degree preferred
• ECG interpretation experience required
• Minimum 2 years’ experience or successful completion of a 600-hour clinical internship in the cardiac rehab setting
• Current BLS Certification
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred
• ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist or AACVPR Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional within one year of employment
