The Exercise Physiologist provides all aspects of phases I – III cardiac rehabilitation, develops, implements, and evaluates exercise prescriptions, and educates patients on cardiac health. The role also involves supervising cardiovascular stress tests, providing EECP and holter monitor placement services, and participating in special patient events and departmental improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in exercise science or related field
- Master's degree preferred
- ECG interpretation experience required
- Minimum 2 years' experience or successful completion of a 600-hour clinical internship in cardiac rehab setting
- Current BLS Certification required
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred
- ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist or AACVPR Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional within one year of employment
