Polysomnographic Technologist Sr. works under the general supervision of the Medical Director to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders.
Requirements
- Formal training in polysomnography program and/or enrolled in a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) program with the polysomnography option
- Non-registered technologists and technicians must complete A-Step online Self Study Modules within two years of enrollment
- All technical staff must participate in at minimum 10 hours per year (averaged over three years) of sleep-related continuing education credits
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a fully registered, full-time polysomnographic technologist
- Three years’ experience working in the field of Sleep Medicine required
- CRT-Polysomnographic Technologist-BRPT (Board of Registered) Required or CRT-Respiratory Therapist Registry-NBRC (National Board of Respiratory Care) Required Or CRT-Registered Sleep Technologist-ABSM (American Board of Sleep Medicine Require Or CRT-Basic Life support Required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
- Ability to work Sunday, Thursday and Friday nights, 36 hours per week.
